What are Projects & Effort?
- Projects are topics and areas of focus. They can be used to categorize by: location, interests, branch, product, etc.
- Effort are the actual "tasks" that are used to engage contributors, track effort, catalog contributions. Effort and the resulting Completions are the building blocks that can be defined, arranged, sequenced to achieve the Project goals.
What is the basic lifecycle of Effort?
- Organizers outline Effort within a Project scope
- Effort is displayed to prospective Users ("Prospects")
- Organizers & Prospects collaborate and communicate to outline the exact completion goals and necessary tools & info
- Prospects register to complete the Effort
- Prospects complete the steps necessary to "Complete" the Effort
- The Completion is entered and cataloged in the Completion database associated to that Project, Effort & User ("Contributor")
- Organizers Rate & Review the Completion
What are the different types of users?
There are 3 types of users within Organized Effort and they are contextual to each Projects or Effort.
- Organizers: are the Users' who created or were assigned by the creators the Project / Effort. They are responsible for creating and co-ordinating the Effort of the community, and accepting Effort Completions.
- Contributors: are Users' who have participated on a Project / Effort by submitting a confirmed Effort: Completion.
- Prospects: are Users' who are have indicated interest in a particular Effort by either "Watching" or "Registering".
What is a Completion?
A Completion is the submission of the Effort: "Completion Questionnaire" by a Contributor (User). The "Completion Questionnaire" is a series of questions that the Organizer required, to indicate that the Effort has been successfully completed. These questionnaire answers are stored in the database that's cataloged for this Effort. Completions can be used to track, catalog, aggregate, measure, compare, store.
